The Wonthaggi Theatrical Group is excited to
announce another production for 2018: “The
Boys”, to be staged in September-October.
Anyone interested in an on-stage or off-stage role
in this production, or interested in learning more
about it, is encouraged to attend this session.
Auditions will be held on Sunday, April 15 (day
time, starting from 9.30 am), in the WTG building
at the State Coal Mine.
NOTE: “The Boys” is a play with very strong
adult themes, and is not suitable for children as
cast members. People 16 years old or younger
are not able to audition, and those 17 years old
will require the permission of parent, guardian or
other appropriate adult.

This year’s Easter Weekend Exhibition
returns in all its beauty to Cowes Cultural
Centre. The Artists exhibition works
encompass painting, drawing, sculpture,
ceramics, photography, textile art and
writing. There is something delightful to
see for everyone.
In association with the Phillip Island
150th Celebration, the 2018 Easter
exhibition includes a special award
for the Best Portrait of a Phillip Island
Free entry. Raffle Prize and all the
beautiful Art is available to purchase.
THE Cape Tavern will again be hosting the
Cape Paterson Good Friday Appeal, with awe-
some raffle prizes, auctions and a live band.
From humble beginnings in the local park,
the appeal has grown into one of the most pop-
ular days on the Cape Paterson calendar.
Raising just over $12,000 last year, the aim
is go even bigger with awesome prizes up for
grabs including a helicopter ride for two thanks
to Phillip Island Helicopters, a tradie pack val-
ued at more than $1000, a Weber Q, local art
work from Maryanne Plenkovich, lobsters and
much, much more.
The day starts at 10.30am with the kids’
tin rattle going door to door collecting money,
with the official kick off at the Tavern at about
Tavern frequenters the Laing Brothers will be
playing tunes from 3pm, with raffles and fun
activities going on throughout the day.

donated so far and to Michael for letting us
use the Tavern. Without everyone’s generosity

chef Robert Little recently took up the

head shaved in memory of his great aunt
who passed away from cancer.
Robert was thrilled that he raised $808
