Stony Creek on Jan 8
FROM baby crocodiles to face painting, horse
racing to the popular annual Ladies Day mar-
quee, there will be something for everybody at
the next Stony Creek race meet on Monday,
January 8, 2018.
Stony Creek Racing Club CEO Sarah Wolf
said that the club was thrilled to be welcoming
Chris Humfrey and his ‘Wild Action Zoo’ back
to Stony Creek with all his reptilian, feathered
and furry friends making an appearance.
“As well as a full program of racing action for
Ladies Day we also have a fantastic line up of
family entertainment including Chris Humfrey
doing 3 shows with his Wild Action Zoo, and
the return of Kelly’s Sports, face painting, bal-
loon artist and free CRV kids show bags. All
part of the Kids Summer of Country Racing
“Last year Chris’ Wild Action Zoo was incred-
ibly popular with both kids and adults alike
and we are grateful to have Chris back at Stony
Creek wowing audiences and introducing all
his creatures on race day.
“We are also welcoming back the traditional
lobster raffle raising vital money for the Meeni-
yan CFA who are looking to purchase some vital
equipment and we encourage everybody to buy
a raffle ticket and support this worthy cause.
“There’s something for the whole family at
Stony Creek,” Ms Wolf said.
Local caterer Brent Sinclair will be taking care
of lunch in the ‘Sisterhood Women’s Travel Pink
Roses Marquee’ with Ms Wolf saying that local
produce will be on full display in the marquee.
“One of the Stony Creek Racing Club key
aims is to support our local community and the
Ladies Day marquee is a great opportunity to
support local businesses and jobs while show-
casing local wine from Waratah Hills and other

lucky to have Leongatha’s own Brent Sinclair to

Bay Surf Lifesaving Club who will be raising
much needed funds to purchase rescue equip-
ment for their club.
