LOCALS love the Venus Bay Store & Café, and so do
When you’re relaxed, in your thongs and your togs are
a bit wet after a swim, there’s no need to get changed
and jump in the car for a bite to eat or some groceries.
It’s all there in the middle of Venus Bay, with friendly
staff ready to help.
Fiona and Neil have assembled their team for sum-
mer and they’re looking forward to a big one.
“We’re hoping for a nice, warm summer. The week-
ends before Christmas were great for us,” Fiona said.
The store serves burgers, toasties, focaccias, a small
selection of cakes and slices and “the best coffee in
town, so we’re told,” Fiona said.
It also has a full bottle shop, it’s a newsagency, stocks
groceries, milk and ice, fruit and veg and there’s a deli
so you’re all set for the barbie. The store will be open
from 7am until late throughout January.

beach throughout and the direction of the current will

vary in strength.
Venus Bay is classified as one of the most dangerous
beaches in Victoria.
The main beach is serviced by the Venus Bay Surf Life
The dedicated club has performed and assisted in
many rescues. The best way to stay safe on Venus Bay’s
long beaches is to swim between the flags.
Trained lifeguards check and select the safest place to
swim everyday – be aware as the locations may change
from day to day.
